“Hard Labor” – New Rules & Tough Remedies from the NLRB: In a recent Gallop poll, 71% of Americans shared that they view labor unions favorably – the highest percentage since 1965. The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) recently reported processing 53% more union election petitions in FY 2022 compared to FY 2021. These statistics reflect a material change in the way workers have responded to labor unions in the post-pandemic workplace. In addition, the current administration is advancing new and novel rules aimed at making it easier for labor unions to organize new workers while also making NLRB litigation and remedies more challenging than ever. Tom Stanek, a shareholder from the Phoenix office of Ogletree Deakins, will lead our webinar and help guide us through the latest labor law challenges facing Arizona employers.
