    Steve McCready has been an HR consultant working directly with handbook for over eight years. He was one of the primary designers of the Thompson Handbook Builder and has worked with 100’s of companies helping them to rewrite their handbooks so they are legally compliant to all relevant federal, state, and local laws. He currently works with BLR as a National Account Rep and Employee Handbook expert.

     

    During this seminar we will discuss the difference between an Employee Handbook and a Policy Manual. We will start with why a handbook is important, what it does, and the latest trends in handbooks. We will then go over specific activity that has recently affected handbook policies. Also we will discuss key parts of not only making sure your handbook is both legally compliant, but also stays that way.
